United to Lead, to Promote, to Secure, and to Defend

The NSO Winter Advocacy Retreat (WAR College) will be held January 14-16, 2021 in Anaheim, California.

This is an opportunity to share your knowledge with your NSO brothers, sisters and cousins.  Please remember sessions need to be appropriate for all NSO members and should be focused on NSO Affiliates, NSO members and their needs.  We want to be able to offer a wide variety of trainings as well as address some specific needs of our affiliates. NSO Affiliates have requested training in the areas of bargaining, advocacy/representation skills, peer to peer conflict resolution, strategic planning, and presentation skills.  Additionally, we are seeking RFP’s related to the role of unions, staff and organizations in racial and social justice. Other areas of expertise are welcome and encouraged.

Please complete the following form and return it to nsowar@nationalstaff.org no later than July 24, 2020. The entire form must be complete to be considered.  Questions can be directed to Catherine Alexander, Vice-President for Program, at vpprogram@nationalstaff.org

** COVID-19–As we move through the planning and preparation for WAR College 2021, we may find it necessary to make changes to ensure the safety of our members. We will be working to address issues related to the pandemic with the hotel site and will keep you posted on any necessary adjustments.
