The challenge of a busy bargaining year dominates CBC meeting

At CBC, members from each region discussed the issues facing them at their bargaining tables.

NSO’s Coordinated Bargaining Council Conference (CBC) in November brought out more than 70 affiliate presidents and chief bargainers for both a national and regional meeting on bargaining issues and strategies.

On the first day, participants met in their respective regions to discuss bargaining issues and concerns they’re dealing with in their area.

For the second day, participants brought their regional issues to a national CBC forum in the morning. The afternoon was de voted to individual workshops on defensive and offensive bargaining strategies, engaging members in bargaining, and an overview of NSO’s Organizing 4 Power training module.

Based on input from participants, CBC Co-Chairs are reviewing the idea of rotating the scheduling of national and regional CBC meetings on an every-other-year basis.
